Haven't read the whole thread so it may have been covered, but... Increasing the size of the disc will help stop because your increasing the amount of breaking torque (my understanding) the braking force has a longer torque arm. But can the stock calipers that look as though they don't cover much more than half the disc area, produce enough force to have an improvement over a stock setup?
You will get an improvement. You have the same clamping force as the standard setup, but an increase in torque due to the caliper being further out as you said. Back to concrete civil man
Yeah thanks for the tip. Just when i thought ide purchased everything i could to get the job done and i was in the clear .. BAM mo MONEY pita But your right all those new goodies will go hand in hand. The car already has all new bushes so i might as well not stop there. I did myself a plenum pull on the weekend which took a whole day and no dramas other than a few hoses which i forgot to put on... and sensors.. but it took consideribly longer than i was initially expecting. I guess i can expect the same from this job. Nice lookin suspension there btw.
Hey Brother... Yes, been busy with some new gear... Tell me about it...I can't wait to finish just so my garage and house can be clean again...feel's like a junk yard at the moment... But it's getting there now... Rob.
