Ok so I have a chance of getting some wheels at a dirt cheap price and the wife says the black does not work. I quite like but my taste is known to be suspect (I am a VS appreciator) I also think they are a huge improvement on the 6.5X16" skyline rims that the car came with. they are 9.5X18 rears and 8.5X18 on the front currently shod with 265X35 and 235X40 respectively, the tyres however need replacing. I know they need cleanup and yes the car still needs painting but what is the overall impression (remember these are stupidly cheap for me)

No spacers required and no guard rolling or flaring either.

Change to stock or 2k lights, then we'll talk ;)

White rims would suit it better

Got stock lights in the shed (along with all the other crap you can see) but personally I prefer these ---- remember the first post VS person here. Hence the skirts and wing....... so no I guess we wont be talking. dont worry I wont blame you for too long though :D

If they're stupid cheap & you like them then why not buy them & paint them a different colour?

    Haha, your call!

And I agree with Nem, some nice wide white wheels would look good.

Give the rims a quick polish, cleanup the tyres, put some black tape over the silver centres and see how it looks.

    Silver spokes could look good.

If you take a good side on picture you could try different options in photoshop.

thats partly why I have posted here, I dont find them ghastly, in fact while I dont think they scream awesomeness I find them quite acceptable. I know the rims are second hand and are a bit worn (not to much curb damage though) but the style is in my opinion far from the worst I have seen. the reality is it is the colour that has me scratching my head. And yes I know I can paint them but painted rims have always looked wrong to me. maybe send them to the shop and get the whole things polished.

I don't see how they could make the car look any worse? As if the wheels would be the last straw deciding if your wife will ride in the car...

yup, they look way cheap... like buying your girlfriend plastic earings.. you just shouldnt do it, unless your girlfriend is 12, then i don't think we should really talk to each other anymore...

As you have asked about the rims and not the tail lights then i will only comment on the rims, and that i think the black is a way better improvement over the stock skyline rims. :z

They look good enough to spray white and live on my car ;)
