It's been a while since I've been able to search the web for stuff because I've had no net, now I can mooch off my works wireless but no youtube however streetfire is fair game. Anyway i found this, wicked vid. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Z-Comp-100g-Productions_151516.htm I wanna be able to pop wheelies! lol
some funky music going there lol Nice z's, the z32 makes like... 2 appearances lol for like 0.15 seconds each. Insane z31 wheelies though
Haha yeah the musics a bit wild, the editor is a Z31 owner so naturally a bit biased! 1:30s my favourite, WWR's Viper Killer Z! That thing is nuts...
If only the Z31 was easier to get parts for (modded and OEM). I would love to add a 1988 S3? to my zed collection. The more I see the nicely modded ones, like 300zxt's black beast, the more I want one.
Yeah it's getting a bit ridiculous for parts I agree. I paid $2,000 for a W-Series VG30ET w/ a manual gearbox from a junkyard about 6 months ago and that was the find of the decade. The LSD had already been whored from the car that motor came out of, drifter noobs pinch them and put em in their fully sic silvias because they're such a badass diff. Courtesy Nissan in the USA still stocks everything OEM, and even with shipping prices it still ends up cheaper than OEM here in Australia. The majority of modifications will need to be custom though yeah...
Are you serious? I stopped watching that after a minute, what utter crap. There was no decent editing and footage was shit. Not to mention the music.
Give the guy who made it a break! There's some quick as cars there (which is the point). There's not a whole lot of footage out there besides legacy stuff. http://www.youtube.com/z31club
Nice video mate, starting to appreciate the 31's more and more every day, seems like they make awesome tuner cars given they're single turbo, and probably a fair bit simpler to work on than the 32's yeah? So do you struggle finding parts for your monster/s? I think I read you spent mega bucks on a HKS intercooler, etc. etc., are there many companies outside Japan or in Japan that deal to OZ that deal in tuner parts for the 31's these days? Oh and lastly... Can they be set up to be tip top in the handling department or are they more-so built as straight line speed demons. Can they be as good/neutral as the 32's in the corners?
Same as mine! Minus the sleepy eye mod which is kind of cool I'll admit. (headlights on while down) Yeah they're alot simpler than the DETT, alot more space in the engine bay and half of everything so yeah. A timing belt job for example takes half as long with half the parts for obvious reasons and likewise with turbo modifications. Yeah spare parts are hard, if you want a manual conversion for example it's super hard to source parts for. I have a spare MT in the garage but I will likely have to get the rest of the parts required for the swap from the USA. Back in the day there was a TON of aftermarket support, naturally that all dies off with time as the market isn't there for them. Handling with Z's has always been a strong point. The factory setup is a bit spongy but a good set of springs and shocks and aftermarket poly bushes and strut bars and it's like riding on rails. There are also coil over options that are a bit spendy and require a bit of custom work but nothings impossible! http://www.zcciv.com/darren/Z31_S14_Front_Coil.pdf
Hahahha that's some funny shit going on there in the Video. Just recieved my Haltech today oohhhhhh yeah baby. Stupid semi sequential shit but I might be able to get someone to build me a electronic sequential switch module to pulse 2 injectors with the 1 signal alternatively, instead of both injectors twice per 2 crank revoloutions as per semi sequential. If it hasn't been done with injector pulse then i am the first person to think of it. Oi 300zxt if you know of another 5 speed z31 trans give me a bell, I need one for my VG30DET that is bolted up to my Auto VG30et trans.
agreed. Esp on a vid like that, the more you look, the more you want. But then it also brings the other ugly duckling into view... the 280ZX. Then you also get a retro front end That black Z31 kept making me think of my old 180sx though mmmmm get a 180sx and throw in a straight 6 of your choice. HELLO!
Not after getting out of a z32 lol... ill admit z31s look nice kitted, dumped and black but thats about it...
That black Z isn't even kitted, it just has the TBO front lip that was a factory option in Japan and an alternate spoiler. I will keep a look out, but will likely buy it myself if I find one from a turbo lol The best bet is to find a dinky NA and rob the MT out of that. Still strong, but not as strong as the SIIs!
i didnt watch the vid lol... my intawebz is capped just a general observation... I came quite close to getting one the other week but decided to hold out for a decent 32 lol
