Hey everyone, Need help (again). I've done a search and hope I have found the problem but.... I've noticed that the turbo(s) were getting a little loud on occasion previously, but now when I boost, they make a loud whooshing noise. I am not getting much boost on the stock guage and also feels sluggish. The car is not blowing any smoke at all which is a really good thing as it is currently my only daily driver. I found this post: What does anyone think this might be the cause or am I more likely up for a new turbo..... Cheers
Blow it up.... ...and listen for boost leaks... they can be ANYWHERE! Sounds like a boost leak... has your vacuum increased off boost cruising?
Re: Blow it up.... I'm gonna do that this weekend. I havent really taken notice of the vacuum, but its usually sitting just below -7 mmHg while criusing anyways.
Sometimes.... ...the vacuum will tip you off if there is a boost leak. Yup, blow it up then see. Good luck,
