Following the rave reviews from those that purchased these in the last GB, here is round 2 for those that missed out Sway bars, stabiliser, anti-roll bars? they are all the same thing. As the name suggests their objective is to reduce sway, or bodyroll, and stabilise a vehicle under lateral (cornering) forces. To often this is thought to be the role of shocks and springs when it is solely the swaybars job. Whiteline Swaybars will make your suspension system and tyres perform better, making the car more responsive while delivering more grip. Just search 'Whiteline sway bars' on this forum to see the comments of Zedders that have fitted them. Whiteline Swaybars are manufactured in Australia using the finest grade Australian spring steel. They are powder coated and supplied with high performance polyurethane mounting bushes in a DIY kit form, ready to simply bolt on. I'm in for all three products thanks Caz, I'm also happy for you to send all the WA buyers to me then I'll redistribute. Payment into your usual account with forum nick as description?
HI Caz just a quick question? What is the advantage of the spherical bearings for the front? Cheers Tim
Change me to tentative/pending caz... still keen if you get the numbers but I've got someone else in mind.
Under what circumstances would you need the extra adjustment? Probably a foolish question that I really should know the answer to but bear with me as my mecanical knowlege is somewhat limited. Thanks
dam you caz ! had this gb been abuot 1 month later i would have deffinately been in but atm ive got my gearbox to fix, after that the upgrades begin :zlove:
Peter Black and vbevan Why would you need extra adjustability?? The adjustability is to take out any preload on the bar through discrepancy/error in worn bushes, bar alignment or misalignment of bar ends. If the bar is preloaded on one side it can equate to a non neutral balanced vehicle. The Spherical Bearing rod end type link kit for the front sway bar is an upgraded link with no compliance, with the bonus of being able to adjust out any preload on the bar. Hope this helps.
I get it. How often is this a problem that you need the extra adjustment? If these are properly installed with the new bushes, is it more than likely you won't need the rod ends? Would adjustable tension rods make the rod ends unnecessary?
It is ideal to fit the front Whiteline swaybar with the new links but not a neccesity. The positive feedback came from both those that have fitted the links and those that havent. Adjustable front tension rods don't impact on the Sway bar links purpose.
swaybars i'm in for the lot caz, front + spherical rod end link and rear + d bushes will be in touch cheers
