Hey guys I had this z of mine running for about 2months now, i was aware of the loud buzzing noise coming from the rear. That includes ignition on, car runnng, before shutting off too. I'm sure the pump primes during ignition on. Anyway the noise is becoming louder and louder. When the car is running regardless (idling/accelaration/cruising) the noise level is the same. Its starting to really irritate me as it is getting louder. It makes me think its the pump that is dying but i just wanna know what you guys reckon as I will start looking to buy the pump from czp. cheers fellas!

It is common to find a car that has the FPCU bypass done. If that is the case, the pump will run continuously at the fastest speed.

Do you seem to have fuelling issues? By that I mean do you think the engine is getting enough fuel whilst at speed or on boost?

If not, then I would say your pump is ok, but the FPCU was bypassed. Otherwise, your FPR may be stuffed, allowing fuel to continually flow, preventing the correct pressure from being reached.

Continously running at the fastest means chances of making the noise? I suppose that's why the car has fuel reg to maintain pressure. I don't think im having some rough run so far, although cold starts there I get a few misfires there and then, acceleration I haven't notice anything like pinging. When I'm on boost I don't think my engine starves with fuel. FPR= Fuel pump relay? Cheers for the reply

FPR = Fuel Pressure Regulator. I'm thinking your FPCU has been bypassed. Your choices are to put up with the noise or replace it.
