Hi, Well my Z has just eaten another battery. Of course it had to be on the weekend before Christmas, just to limit my options. I just did a quick run around a couple of the places still open (Autobarn, Supercrap etc) and my options seem very limited. Does anyone know what the min Cold Cranking Amps and Reserve capacity I should be looking for (this is a TT with mild stereo upgrade)? The CCA on my current battery is 650amps, but I can't find anything that high (a red Excide Extra that is not listed for a Z was the closest at 550amps). I'm not really sure what I should be looking for in the other specs, other than to make sure the battery will fit (and cables can reach the terminals). No one has deep cycle batteries in stock. Any suggestions? Cheers Mark
I bought an ACDelco from Holden of all places. 600CCA and even the poles were around the right way, 3 year maintenance free and even has one of those cool folding handles on top. Cost about $155.
