Hey zedders... this may have been covered somewhere.. but cant find it..

ive driven with stock 16s.... then upgraded to Lite weight Jap 17s... noticed they were faster whilst keeping the original rolling diameter.. (using 255/40/17)... now have put a deposit on some 19s... they weigh around 10.9kg without the tyre... ill be using a 19/35 on the rear... is this going to bugger up my rollling diameter much?

What are your thoughts on 19s that come in at 10.9kg? any good by today's standards.??

    Thanks

    Frank

That sounds pretty light! My old 17s weighed that much!

IMO keep the 17's, perfect size. get good style without looking rice, fits over big brakes, and light. you WILL notice a performance decrease going to 19's

unless they are chromies they aren't rice, 18's for a given rolling diameter will have less tyre flex and can fit bigger brakes again. 17's aren't big enough for the Z imo, 18's look perfect, where as 19's can start to look too big if they aren't the right style.
DUB's are just ghey on a Z, it's a sportscar not some gangsta cruiser
