Wheel Studs

    Does anyone know how much it costs to rplace wheel studs approx? All 5! :eek: :bash:
    Z31turbo...Any help appreciated.

    ive heard of places charged about $40 to do the first one and then its cheaper as you do the others...the most labour for them would be getting the caliper off etc etc....

    alternativly you can get the studs from nissan for like $3.50 each and do it yourself ;)

    pfft, if i did anything mechanical on my car itd probablt blow up or sumthin :p

    nothing to it man pretty simple

    take wheel off, take bolts off caliper to move off the rotor, remove rotor, hammer the stud so it comes out the other side, fit new stud in, use a larger nut than the stud with another nut screwed into the stud so you can keep tightening it in untill completly in, put rotor/caliper/wheel back on

    ye its pretty much what i have done...

    the thing that took me the longest out of the whole job would have been getting the bolts off the calipers as they were soooo strong to undo...

    where can i get the studs from mate? I don't think there's a nissan place around here...

    mmm i just got mine through nissan. every nissan dealer should have a parts area. otherwise you might be able to get some universal ones from any auto store? maybe take one with you to compare. front and rear are diff on the z32 not sure about the z31...

    You can also get studs quite easily thru' Autobarn stores...

    There's a good looking stud at Bob Jane in Box Hill.
