    hi All,
I am purchasing the following wheels for my Z and was wondering if the offset was ok and also if the car would need lowering to maintain the stock height. I currently have the standard wheels and same size tyres as stock.
Cheers for the help in advance

18 x 8 inch rims, Chrome Deep Dish with 2 brand new tires and 2 tires with 30% tread.
Tires are 225/40 ZR18 with offset of 38P

The rear will be fine, but I am unsure about the front.

Have a look in the Tech Section.

You will find your answer there.

RedZedMikey RZM should now be DZM

The car will not need lowering to maintain the same ride height - a 225-40x18 tyre is very close to the stock Z tyre as far as diameter or rolling circumference goes.

38mm offset on the fronts should be OK, but the other factor is brake caliper clearance. Test fit to make sure the wheels will clear the calipers before you buy. This is a wheel design issue, NOT a function of wheel offset. If the wheel does not clear the caliper you may need spacers, which will push the wheels further out, may be illegal, and is not something I would recommend.

    Thanks for the help guys,
bought them off ebay so there was no chance for a test fit. Is there something similar to spacers that aren't illegal?

yeah, a car that suits the wheels.

et38 should fit the front easily.
Do you happen to know what sort of car they came off?
    do you have stock brakes?
if it came off anything but a GTR or a pre au falcon it SHOULD fit.
the wheels offset can range between et30-et42 (i'd go et40 max) in an 18x8.

    best of luck.

    RIKMAN!!!
