i know this has been asked before, but i am after a specific answer not an answer to a generic question, the wheels will be Front 18" x 9" running
18 x 265 x 35 tyres and the back wheels will be 18 x 10 running 18 x 285 x 35 tyres, what offset would i need to take the wheels and tyres out to fitting just inside the guards front and rear, does anyone have this setup and if so would you be able to take some pics and post them up,
    cheers

with the right offset, there is no benefits from putting bigger tyres than 235 on the front, youll get tram lining and as far as turning the wheel without rubbing,it wont happen

i don't want the offset that come with factory tyres they sit way too far inside the guards at the front and look shite imo, all i am after are the offsets that will take the rims out to the guards,
    cheers

I had 255's at the front with no rubbing on the guards...tramlining yes, rubbing no. I can't remember the offset I had on those wheels tho.

As for the rears, I had 295 on 10" rims with a 38 offset which seemed just right, no rubbing with the HICAS removed...with the HICAS it rubbed a little on the inner guard which is a big no-no for 2+2 as the fuel line runs through there.

i have a 2 seater and i intend to remove the hicas, 295's sound good with the wheels i have now, Blitz, i think 295's would hit the guard, as for the front, i have 235's at the moment but i also have 20mm spacers this brings the Blitz rims out to sit in perfect position just inside the guards

I have Blitz wheels, 275 at the rear on 10" wide wheels.

I thought my rear offset was +48 but I've have since checked it and noticed it's actually +45. I don't think I could fit 295 without rolling the guards unless I increase the camber.

Camber plays a big role so it's something you also need to consider.
Don't know my exact rear camber setting but it's pretty flat, I'd guess it's about 1?

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

    A bit like this...??

    Can't remember offsets though
But if your rims sit too far in the guards, get some bolt-on style spacers to push them out. Just-Jap sell them.

Bulllshite ha ha   :D :D sorry Simon had too

I run Enkie RP03 race rims 18 x 9.5 ET38 with 265 front 285 rear I have test fitted the 285's on the front and they just clear the suspension upright by only mm's no rubbing anywhere.

I haven't had much time to play with it, but there should be enough pics in there to give you an idea of what offset you will need.

    I'd suggest a +40 for a 9" front.

    :zlove:

BTW if anyone wants to send me pics, I need info like offset, diameter, need for spacers. Etc.

Basically refer to the format within the gallery.

    Cheers.

    I'm running 18 x 9 fronts 265 x 35 x 18s and 18 x 10 rears 285 x 30 x 18s.

Heres the offsets for the 10s:

.... but this is on the widebody Godfather bodykit, so offset maybe unusual.

I recommend 30 profile, not 35 profile on the rears with a 285 x 18 as this is closer to the stock rolling diameter. With a 35 profile tyre, indicated speed of 100 you'll be travelling at 104 kph. With a 30 profile tyre, indicated speed of 100 you'll be travelling at 99.5 kph.

    Cheers,

I've got 45 offset 8.5 fronts, they came with 20mm spacers (25 offset), looks about right but it brings heavier steering and a bit of tramlining, I dropped them to 15mm spacers (30 offset), still looks alright, feels a bit better but illegal by 3mm.

I'm now temporarily using 5mm spacers (40 offset), feels best, doesn't look good but maybe not so bad with reduced camber.

Since you're using a 12mm wider wheel, going with 33mm offset would be like me running with 27mm as far as looks go but with the benefit of improved feel and being legal - not that you'd care about that. :)

With that said, I'd still try before you buy.. must be a tyre/wheel shop down there with a 9" and similar offset.

Not sure about the rear, never had to screw with it.
