It's there so that when you close the door or the hatch the air can get out. You should leave it there.

    Cheers,
    Evan.

i don't get it, why would the air have to get out? its not like the zed is 100% sealed or anything.
my sub box covers all that area so i guess its no use to me. or am i interpreting what evan said differently?
    cheers

its not a perfect seal, but even if your sub box wasnt sealed when the sub would be moving it would still create air pressure, same theory with that vent. That is if thats wot that vent is there for...

It lets the air out like was stated alot of cars have this... On the otherside of it will be like a mesh type over them and that stops water from coming in... Without the vent in place or even the mesh water will get in the hatch....

Thats a great long plastic moulding that screws on under the back of the rear sill. Suggest you leave it there.

It doesnt hurt having it there so why pull it out?? If you do, you will have to fill the large hole under the rear sill.

yeah i was thinking of installing an amp there and with some sort of a vent expelling the hot air from the amp. cut the trim, mount a pc case fan on the vent and the jobs done :)

well, still deciding if i should go ahead with it :D
