imports/locals same difference. They're all the same engine (as long we're talking TT vs TT and NA vs NA. You could get over 1000 hp with BIG turbos, a LOT of internal work + supporting mods and NOS. Same as most vehicles

You sound like you've played a little too much need for speed... You want power? find the biggest engine and bolt the biggest turbo you can afford too it...

What are your goals?? do you want a semi reliable streeter or a 1000hp+ dyno queen??

noob? deep pockets? Don't worry sounds like a boy that's local. You'll do better than him no doubt. Big single is good for a dyno queen yes

Dude, I can understand you may be new, but this is really the kind of research you could do with a few keystrokes in google. There have been both big single z32s and also twin-turbos that can make some serious power. Unless you really know what you are aiming for (not talking power but power delivery) you can make a very serious setup and retain the twin-turbo.

I recommend you check out Z1 motorsports (300zx.com)

And you can't import cars with excessive mods, it all has to go back to stock before it gets complied. Under the old scheme you could bring in bombed out cars (like Vincent did), but that no longer applies to Z32's and most other worthwhile cars out of Japan.

If you are only after something for bragging rights and easy power get a TT Supra, 2J's are fantastic. Big turbo, set of injectors, FMIC and a tune then you have 600hp.

    1000HP

I've seen guys in the states get 1000HP. So it's right up there with the RB26 and 2JZ. You're talking a lot of money spent to get that though. I don't know of any Zeds in Australia anywhere near that figure.

A realistic figure would be 500-600HP with extenisve mods and a fair amount of money thrown in. Zeds are more expensive to mod because of the engine config, everything is doubled. The advantage though is higher torque than most straight 6's.

    Cheers
