Im pretty sure the clear box is the aerial switch box of some kind. I found mine disconnected when i first cleaned my car after purchase. I think mine is blown like yours as even though my aerial works it doesnt seem to be getting any power so dont raise when i turn the radio on. ill have to have a look on my i think.

Did this happen during the recent works in the boot ?
Or is it a pre-existing fault which you found while you were doing other things ?

Found it like that. I suspect it got fried when everything else did while they were welding something on the car and didn't disconnect the battery!

That would make sense then. Mine works too but won't raise.

So anybody have a spare one they wanna part with? Also the black box?

    For the Light box.

You can replace all the bits on that pcb. The only thing I couldn't find was the IC. It is a Toshiba T2801-0A. There is another IC out there with this designation but it is not the right one.:(

How confident are you that the welding incident caused the damage ?
I'd hate to see you repair or replace those modules then find out the hard way that there's some other cause for their failure, i.e. chafed wiring, a screw cutting through some sheathing etc.

Good luck with it, let us know what you find.

Well I only suspect that as they rendered every other computer system in the car U/S at the same time - ECU,FPCU,HICAS,AUTO,ABS, etc etc etc. ABS is still non-functional, everything else has been replaced. Might have to pay a trip to the wreckers I guess, I can't justify the time and effort to repair these PCBs...
