A young bloke at work is looking to buy a NA 2+2 auto zed with a blown head gasket for $4000 is it worth him buying it?Or would it be to expensive to repair and should he save a desent zed?:zlove:
not worth it mate...you'll be spending big $$$ for it to get on the road...can pick up "alright" 300zx's out there for about 6-10k...tell him to keep looking around before anything and if his heart is set on it go to a few mechanics and see if he can get a quote for it Ryan
Just had new valves put into my N/A, i.e. heads off and all new hoses, belts etc $1300 labour, $4000 parts. The bottom hose alone is $114. So I would think he'd be better off getting a good one. Depends what the rest of the car is like, but it would have to be real top condition to make it a good buy.
