What should i do? need opinions plz
Have had the car for over three years and has been running 16psi since the day i bought it and have had no problems until a few months back when the bearings in the LDH turbo failed..
Had the left hand side turbo rebuilt, replace oil lines and turbo water lines but it has failed again (blowing smoke) a couple of days ago...
Not sure what to do, i need a 4x4 for work so wanting to sell the zed.
This is my problem A) Try and sell with turbo smoking
    B) Replace cartridge in turbo and sell
    C) Replace turbos with GT2860RS and sell
B and C will cost money so will have to sell for more... The way zed prices are i'm not sure if i can justify it..
Car produced 235.2rwkw at dyno day awhile back without Manual conversion with greddy heavy duty clutch and Fidanza lightweight Aluminum flywheel, lightweight one piece tail shaft and CES dump pipes.
I guess what i'm trying to say is If you were buying a zed what you prefer?
    Cheers

Very much doubt that you would get your money back on the 2860's, I'd just chuck in a new CHRA and be done with it. Also work out what happened to kill a new turbo so quickly

If I was buying I would want the fancy turbo's and I wouldn't want to pay much more than a normal Z unless the engine had been done...

    I've been there...

I've been where you are now and let me make it nice and easy for you.

I've just recently sold my zed for cheaper than I should EVER have had to sell my zed. :) with turbo problem :)

Replace the turbo's with STOCK turbo's.

It's as simple as that. You will regret it any other way.

if you can afford to fix/upgrade then do that and see how you fel about keeping it.

If keeping is not an option, then you can either get a quote to fix, and take THAT off the sell price (being clear that's what you've done in your adds) OR fix and then sell.

Selling a working car would be easier than selling a bugered one with a price drop.

but if that's the root you take, DONT waist money on upgrading. Fix it WELL but cheep. (im not saying cut corners here AT ALL). Keep in mind you will NEVER get your garage bills back in the sale price. Sad but true. Hence i would rule out turbo upgrade unless you're keeping it.

I think this is what keeps the honest people IN zeds. No one wants to sell a bad car, so we spend money fixing PRE sell. Then once fixed you HAVE to ask... "why am I selling?"

    no warrenty?

i'd buy a second hand turbo for around $300 and fit it, end of story.

well since all 3 options involves selling then go the cheapest option A.
