Hello guys upgrading to some WOLF S36's and not sure what colour to go for the lip? Can obviously either go a chrome or red, but i personally think red looks tougher but just recently gotmy interior redone in full beige, doors, seats and centre of everything, with chrome inside, and 3 chrome gauges, preety show. And now the exterior has got Bomex side and rear Bar, and a Greddy Front bar. So not sure what to go? Race outside, show interior?? Offset will be very tought be a 18"x8.5 + 10 on front and 18"9.5 +18 on the rears (rim will stick out guard with streched tyres) Let me know what you honestly think (car is actually black, Just needed a clean) For me ATM: Chrome 60% Red: 40% Thanks PUREZX
the chrome goes well with ure clear indicators and rear markers and the red just makes it look mean. tough one
red lip all the way. good fitment to, 8.5 +10 will be a little on the weaker side if going for the hella flush look. i had that on my last wheels, settling now for 9" +/- 0 fronts rears will sit flush on the rears with next to no camber too.
thats tough, they both look sweet. the chrome lip adds that little something extra, but on the other hand the red does too.
The copy te37 for sure!!!!! Look so much better in the concave 7 spoke, compared to your typical 5 spoke concave wheel.
Polished lip without doubt..... red just looks like a pinstripe and i really think a black rim needs something to set it off especially on a black car... definately polished lip.... your paint/ photoshop skills well, i'm not sure if skill is the right word lol... post up best pics of wheels side on and pic of your car and ill see if i can shop something nicer, ideally rims with tyres on though perhaps on another car you find on net....
Go the Chrome! defines the wheel more, otherwise too much black with the red ones. and you dont have red on the car anywhere else do you to compliment the red rims?
you may find some pics of similar rims on my mates site.... his mate bevan has the red striped ones on his red s14 theres pics of it, i would dig them up but i'm capped currently, have a dig around on here... www.stayclassy.co.nz
id go with the rears! maybe look at some bronze te37's? its just a suggestion, but i love bronze wheels on black cars ;p
if u wanna go all time attack go with something like... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-M...eels-tyres/Alloy-wheels/auction-315345755.htm
It depends how frequently you change rims... both of them are going to date fairly quickly. Red lip is definitely popular at the moment, just don't expect them to stay that way in a couple of years time.
Easiest solution, buy 2 of each rim, then fit the red ones to one side and chrome ones to the other side! Nobody would pay close enough attention to pick up on what you've done and you can have the best of both worlds this way!!
