    Worked but...

...i had to use right click and open with menu, then it found Media Player after it downloaded/buffered, and ran!

Is it just the way it recorded or have you got a sticky lifter in there somewhere?

Lifters are just a noise thing at this juncture. you have bigger fish to fry at the moment. You've got an intermittant wiring issue on that cylinder #2. Go thru the motions of checking continuity between the PTU and the coilpack wiring and the earths.

Red/white wire shoudl show continuity to the PTU Red/white wire (assuming S1 ptu is still installed).
Middle black wire goes to the Ignition coil relay Black wire.
Right side wire goes to the black(earth) wire on the PTU.

Get a multimeter on it, set to continuity. Should beep. Wiggle individual wires and see which one loses continuity. Replace as needed or run a new wire to bypass it.

Cut it at one end and the other, solder a new wire in its place. Either incorporate it into the loom, or run it along the loom and tape it in place.
Then crack a beer. You deserve it after a sold 5 minutes work on the Z :zlove:
