What is the purpose of coolant flow through throttle bodies?

I've done a plenum pull... already! because of a vacum leak. Now i'm considering doing the under plenum coolant hose bypass. HOWEVER i'm not sure it's a good idea... surely nissan enginers had a good reason to run the coolant through the throttle bodies... what is it?

You're not going to need TB coolant lines in QLD. :D

oh yeah i'm back in tassie these days and it can get pretty cold in winter... but not an issue?? Is this because if throttle b's are too cold the tolerences become tight and throttle butterflies may become stuck?

It's for very cold climates where ICE in the throttle bodies becomes an issue. You'll find most car model destined for the states or europe will have them in some form.

LOL, safer for you to bin them. They are such a pain to get to in the event of a leak that you really only want to do it once, and it make plenum pulls in the future that much easier to do.
