What have you done to your zed today? Part 3............

I installed my sard 800cc injectors in modified rails, mounted my FPR. I pressure tested the rails and they didnt leak at 60psi so fingers crossed I can get them tuned quickly and back on the road straight down to the strip.


this is for my e85 stock turbo + nitrous build. Im hoping that at 55psi my sard 800cc injectors will provide enough e85 for my blitz 26/8 turbo kit which I think will max out at 400rwkw on e85 (not that big compreesor wheel) this will be on a stock motor aswell.

I also came accross these



twin 3076 :br: always with the big turbos I read about surge issues but these have antisurge housings and fit in stock location which I like. I could spool them with Tbrake and nitrous.

 

Nice work on those rails. Did you just drill/tap the rear ends of them or weld those barbs on? I want to do the same thing.

 

Chris (ezzupturbo) did them for me. He removed the buckets and drilled the whole way through. then welded the fittings. aweome for twin entry exit. using brass Y fittings

 

Cool. The rails are aluminium, right?

Why the barbs at the front? What was wrong with the factory barbs?

 

rails are steel (not sure if staino but could be) and fittings are all drilled out aswell fittings. fittings on front so its all equal flow. The idea I like about this setup is that if i start running out of fuel it should do it equally across the board and not just number 6...... in theory

 

And Johnathon (Trinitt) in the US for taking the time to receive, organize the machining, powder coating and shipping the wheels for me. I bought my 9.5s off him and he has helped me with getting these 10.5s. :zlove:

I did up my e85 fuel system. pretty basic but will see what it can do. not pretty but it works. engine will be coming out for turbo kit after a couple of runs so not tidying it up yet. wanted to do pcv delete only becuase it would make boost leak testing easier (accordian pipes feed air into valve covers)....couldnt be bothered just want to drive it.

 

Finally found a set of factory roof racks..... in mint condition.

You don't have any use for a roof rack on a Zed do you? You just need to own every single oddball accessory you can find.

 

Cruised through the twisties at 7am after bedding in my new clutch, then changed the oil and drive belts.

If I didn't have a vert I would try and buy it from him for my road bike.

Have never seen one of these for sale or bought by someone.

 

They are coming from South Africa... of all places. Owner purchased new from Japan and never fitted them to his car.

...... never for sale at this stage

 

So these just arrived at Trinitt's house. He has informed me they are in good condition and once they get machined and sprayed, they will be as good as new. Can't wait

 

I'm dead keen to get some too. Lovely wheels. That offset if exactly what I want for the rear.
