Went up for a look On Sunday, Had a cast of thousands there, so wasn't much track time to be had. Wayne only managed three laps before the gremlins struck, looks like piston failure, but i'll let him tell the story.:thumbsdown: JP, had the slot car flying as usual, could hear it wheelspinning comming over the rise into turn four, and up the back straight also, but he also had some issues with brake shudder, so we all packed up early and headed home.
Super sprint results Unfortunately I only managed to get in 2 timed laps, both of which were lame. Spun out on turn 2 in both laps. A mate of mine was a flag marshal on that corner and he said they were very spectacular. lap times JP in slot car had it going with a 1:50.3700. There were a lot of well presented and quick cars, particually a hot pink AC Cobra. As Wizard has noted I've got a bit of a problem with my engine. Will do a comp test soon to get a better idea, but my bottom end is a canditate as I've got blow-by. If it needs a rebuild, I hope to get it sorted asap. Already thinking of redoing the NA's suspension to comp spec to get me by.
Re - The Commodore...... ....that had the fastest lap on the day (1:44). what has it got going for it? Must be an incredible machine and driver
It even had a P plate....... Very fast VS ex V8supercar. He was scruteneered in front of me and had an amusing logo on the back that read 'You are now NOT passing another Fox'. :LOL: The fuel system occupied the entire boot and ran full slicks, etc.

I have that on a T-shirt mate! "Objects in the mirror are getting their arses Kicked" It then has a pic of a Zed mirror with a bunch or Porsches in it!:LOL::LOL::thumbsup:
