No you need to learn some basic facts about internal combustion engines, Oh and get a bigger knob to stop your hand slipping of the end and hitting yourself in the head and causing you to post such idiotic nonsense

basically yeah. Have to take it to someone to tune it for you.

Mate, he was asking a question! I dont think he needs some high and mighty Wanker like you to give him sh!t for it, Not everybody knows everything about cars, I bet there's even one or two things you don't know, I hope there's nothing you need to ask of the forum in the future cos I would love to see the dressing down you get for asking ;)

    well

best case scenario, removed ECU, get it socketed and get the setting (think its called k value) changed to suit the bigger injectors, basically i think it changes the amount of time the injectors are open for, they are open for less time to compensate for the higher fuel flow rate.

Worst case, pull ecu, get it socket (or better yet get it nistune'd) and get it tuned.

Kind of wondering why you want bigger injectors unless you have other mods to match it. From memory you have to be running pretty high boost on stock turbos to get to the danger zone of stock injectors (called duty cycle i believe)

If your zed is stock, maintenance first (alot of it) then if you have cash left over pod filter, exhaust (turbo back), boost controller, pulley kit, maybe a lightened flywheel if you have a manual. Wouldnt bother with bigger injectors unless you have a fresh engine with bigger turbos.

FYI there are some real shit brand of injectors out there, tell us what you have going in?

I was thinking of running venom injectors, and upping my compression ratio to 25:1 (by adding marbles to the combustion chamber to take up space). I'm also adding 20mm oversize valves to the motor- it's a NA.

Will this get me 1000HP at the wheels?
Will I need to get my ECU socketed?

My mate will be doing the work for me on the weekend for beer and pot. He has built many hecktic-sick pulsars in the past.
    Sorry for the thread hijack

well i brought em of ebay there 550cc injector's there a pale pink color i have had my head skimmed about a milimeter which i think wont have much affect on the compression im currently running stock turbos reconditioned ones i think i may have to upgrade my fuel emission system

ever since i was like 14 i had wanted a 300zx z32 but when i brought mine it said it only had 120k kms on the clock but a week after i brought it the clock stoped counting ks so i knew it had done more it was a jap import and then about 2 months after i brought it and only like around 20 drives in it the turbo piping were all rotted from the inside and they bursted when i was driving and i didnt notice until the car cut out and started smoke i warped the head gasket like 1mm and the turbos were finished and it has been sitting on my driveway for about 13 months and it just shatter;s me to come home everyday and see my dream car just sitting there on ramps me and my old man have recondition the whole engine over 12 months and hopefully this christmas she will be my fairlady i hope

If I was in your position, I would fit the stock injectors to get the car up and running. Sort out any issues that may come up, then fit the larger injectors and have it tuned at a later date.

By the sounds of things, you have a little way to go before worrying about extra hp with the car. A Z32 that has been sitting a while can be enough to worry about without throwing unknowns into the equation.

I would seriously listen to what a2zed said. The best thing you can do for yourself is get a really solid reliable base to work with. stock injectors and stock turbos can get you in the 240-250rwkw.

    just my 2 cents

    It's a

safe bet that there's plenty of stock injectors laying idle around abouts. Ask in the wanted section.

Theres a lot to do before fitting larger injectors as most have said.

The larger the injectors, the finer the tuning is required in the maps!!!!!!

The maps will completely change altogether, so as stated make sure you have a motor that is running well before you even start.

Consider sticking with the stock injectors until you know a lot more - not a sarchastic comment, but if your asking such a question it means you need to understand a lot, it gets quite complex when it comes to mapping correctly and tools such as wideband sensors will be needed first (or the tuner will need to fit some at least)

Just want to make sure you dont wreck the motor or have major problems in starting it again.

The nistune ECU chip does make it easier with injector sizing capabilities but it will still need fine tuning or it will run very sick.
