What can I expect if I block the recircs off ?

Trying to kill the goose

Is it noisier than the goose ? is it bad for the turbo ?

 

Buy my blow off valves that'll fix it.

 

I don't want any noise so I wont be going BOVs . Might just get the BDE kit .

Apparently the goose honk has always been there its just that we have removed stock air box is why we hear it now

Can you describe the goose honk sound? Thinking I may have the same issue. Seems to occure at around 1500rpm.

 

Its like when you blow across to top of a beer bottle and it makes that sound . Which is actually what happens in the recircs .

 

Ah ok, then I don't think that's the noise that I get. Are all of your intake clamps tight?

 

mine happens around 0 psi boost as I cross from vacuum to early boost stages ~ 5 psi

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't it also reduce performance by reducing turbine momentum........increases spool time when the accelerator is reapplied.

 

Block it off and don't worry. Save and get your car tuned.

My car used to make the vl turbo herpa derpa dose noise if I was light throttle (bov pretty tight). Sounds quite loud.
