Well, now I'm "between Zeds"......

Over the past week I've been negotiating with a new forum member from Interstate who wanted a nice, red, Australian NA 2+2 (OK, pedants, I know that last bit's redundant).

Anyway, to cut a long story short - the new owner might like to tell it - I've sold my car - and to someone I was really pleased to sell it to!

As I said, I now consider myself "between Zeds". My next Zed, when I buy it, will be something I can park outside, or indeed use anywhere I'd use a lesser car (that's almost anything else!) - ie I won't be so 'precious' about this one!

Currently I've moved to the "dark side" for a while with a cheap Soarer that I've bought, but one day I will be back into a Zed. It will be white or another non-metalflake colour (but not red), definitely slicktop, and definitely not a 350z or anything with turbochargers.
I suppose that means it could be a 240z, 260z, 280z or z32. I suppose I'll just wait and see what comes up. I'm certainly in no hurry as I'm enjoying the Soarer. OK, so it's a 'boat', but they can be made to handle acceptably at remarkably low cost, and even if it's a boat, it's a damn luxurious one!

I'll still hang around this forum and keep in touch with all my on-line friends here. It's the best, most interesting car forum I've seen - Certainly it beats the Soarer ones hands down!

Once a zed owner - always a zed enthusiast!

    good luck

good luck with finding a new zed.
but can a zed really be lesser car. even if it is a bit cheaper you can't love a zed any less (even when you earn just about nothing and can barely afford it).

I probably didn't express that very well....

What I meant was that I would do almost anything, park almost anywhere with almost any car except my last Zed, which being in really good nick, I was very careful in how I used it, and where I parked it.
If and when I buy another, I will treat it (almost) like any other car - but as you say a Zed's a Zed and that will be hard!!:D
