Well after a year my car is still off road. And yes, nothing changed. Its been a long road of waiting and more waiting and still i get ass shafted by the Z shop. As they now say they will not do any work to my car, now i have to find someone else to fit in my new ACL pistons to my beast. Our arrangement was to come up with a plan in the middle, but in the end, after waiting over a year now, 2k on insurance, and my rego sticker, its come to a sad end that they will not fix my car. Why you ask? Well im still considering if i care anymore for the Z shop to post why. But i won't. All i can say is, no more will i be referring you or anyone else to drop in to the Z shop. After spending $40k on them, out love has now ended. They offered me to fix my car if I find them a mechanic, but for a price. So not only do i have to look for a mechanic for them, they still want to charge me. Great. Chester, i did like you, but you have torn a whole in the Zshop name. And now with me out of there, hopes look glim. Bob, your still a champ, and you are the only one i can trust for tuning my car if i ever need be. Shame it has come down to this and me been ass rammed. But its my fault for waiting a year with my beast off road. I have found someone who works on Z's and is happy to do a cheap home job. At the moment, i dont care, i just want my car running. No thanks to Zshop. Yet another bit of bad history for Zshop credibility. Unless one of you care to help me swap over pistons (and not take 3 months), im willing to pay around $3k for a proper job if it can be done ASAP. No noob mechanics either. Exp only as my car is a work of art with over 350rwkw. Id rather pay you to do my car, then send you off to Zshop, then get promised cash but paid peanuts to work there as i was told by one of the last to leave there. Ive cried myself to sleep nightly waiting for my car to be fixed, and this is what Zshop has come down too.... FU*K YOU ICER KTHNX. .... charmed. :bash:
Wow Bill, I really feel for you. You must just feel like burning their building down (did I say that out loud ) Its a real shame to hear of a member -or anyone for that matter - having these sorts of dramas. It just isn't right ! $40K spend and they say they wont work on it? Any reasons? Chin up mate
Well we had an agreement. Trade for trade. I do their IT stuff, they do my car. I had a tab of 3800$ there i owned. I worked it off, then another 3000$+ ontop. Which was gong to go towards my rebuild. But they haven't had the time (over the last year) to fit me in. Now they come out telling me 'well looking over the books we done all this free work on your car 3 years ago...so really we are even.' How nice eh? And i don't need to burn anything down...im sure they will do it themselves. They obviously don't give 2 fu*ks about me and my car, so really, why should I? They are the professional business not me. Ive been lookin after THEM. God why am i so nice and get ass ****ed. Nice guys ALWAYS finish last. Bob reads the boards. But he basically is in the same boat i am. But he is more patient. He has been waiting 2+ years.
omfg yuo got h4x0r3d sorry to hear and good luck with rebuild! i am in a similar boat with my swift gti had the engine rebuilt with mugen racing forged pistons, supposidly new head(pressure tested?), + ported the head, the exhaust, enlarged oil galleries, custom cams, chevy valve springs, upgraded valves + more, rebuild took months to do!, oil leaking from rocker cover from day 1, which was patched up, and was loosing large amounts of coolant after 1600km, took it back to the mechanic, found that the head was cracked, 4 months later nothing has happened with it

shit man sorry 2 hear. yer z shop can suck my left nut, as chad said^^^ joe is the man. he rebuilt my engine which is still to go in forged pistons ect. i asked him to do my conversion but he is WAY to busy at the moment with christmas coming up ect. but his a top guy icer, he told me that if my mechanic got stuck at all that he could call him any time in need.
definantly go to joe, hes doing work on my car now and has done work on it before and i've always been happy with the results i worked in the same factory as joe for a few months and i can tell you that he really is very precise with zed's and knows everything there is to know about them. top bloke, his number is posted above and he currently works at dontex performance in vermont
ahh there was a game called quake 3 and ra3 was a mod, rocket arena 3, there was a clan called bear clan, and there was an angrybear in the clan, haha |^_^
heh...labour is a killer. Engine been out twice. 2500-3000 just there each time. Ive prob forgotten some mods but the turbo upgrade + zorst cost me almost 9g's alone. Ecu + tuning + UDP = 2500$, clutch + gbox = 3000$, yada yada. It all adds up. And thats with all this 'free non charged extra time' they have spent on my car too. So god knows where it really is at in expenses.
