well about a week ago i noticed what appears to be water in the harness in the middle of the plenum where it splits up for the coilpacks and injectors, so i figured it would dry up once the engine gets warm,
now its still there i dont no if its water or oil it doesn't smell like oil and there is no oil/water anywhere else around the plenum..just in the harness where it splits up in the center of the plenum.

any idea's before i start chopping it up?

cant find the cord for my camera but will put up a pic when i do.

    thanks mike

Perhaps it's coolant(there are heaps of coolant hoses under the plenum)?
Does your engine have the plastic centre cover on the plenum?
Why haven't you wiped this dry, or checked to see what it is?:zlove:

    ?
no its not coolant, throttle cover is off,
it's in the wiring harness that feeds from the back of the plenum that splits out for the coilpacks/injectors in the centre of the plenum, where it splits up there is water or possibly oil leaking out from where the harness is taped up its only a little bit and i have wiped it dry. but im guessing theres more in there under the tape.

Have you considered that it may be leaking from your Windscreen Washer tubing under the rear of the bonnet(sounds like it's in the right area for that to be the cause)?

yeah i thought that but no, now the sun's out and i can see better it appears to be oily so i dont no where its come from might of always been there? who knows.
just to be clear this is on the top center of the plenum, and no oil on the plenum or around it its just seeping through the harness. only a little bit though.

I would follow the harness along to see where it is getting in.
