Its come the time to send my much loved beloved 1990 TT CZ32 (2 seater) to a new home. I really don't want to sell her, but I simply can't warrant having a car parked up and not be used as often as I'd like to. She's traveled less than a dozen times and 1000kms since December 2006. I'll start with the truth as its certainly no secret; yes, this car has not had the easiest life and has been to the track numerous times HOWEVER everything that fails due to age and abuse has been replaced - in some cases, as recent as December 2006. She starts and runs perfectly every time and does not leak any fluids whatsoever. There are no knocks or rattles through the car at all. Feels very strong and does not blow smoke at all nor use any oil. I used the car extensively as a tool of my use since I bought it in February 2002; The car retired from motorsport in December 2005, only coming out for motorsport once in 2006 on a short hillclimb.She has served me well and I will miss her so much. There are also rumours going around that the chassis was bent due to its history of motorsport; this is UNTRUE - the alignment at the front (toe to be precise) was way out. There was guard rub in the rear; but this was due to the slight shift from torque through the urethane rear subframe bushes (the pineapples) and only happens when largely oversized and offset rims are used. A few years ago I did a rough tally of all the money I have spent on my beloved zed; I stopped counting at 55k as I started to go into shock. The biggest drawcard of this zed is that all the usual things that are stereotyped with zed problems have been replaced either with stock, or high quality aftermarket fairly recently. The list of things that aren't quite right is not long: * The two leather seats are both torn from use; however they are both covered by seatcovers so as cannot be seen. * The stereo has also been disconnected; I suspect the deck has died; amp is an unknown; speakers are fine. * The body is straight however there are small blemishes around the car; * There is some sandblasting on the front. Unfortunately, no show quality paint here however I have taken all care and the car has always been polished. * The clutch booster is not connected; a new valve is needed to be replaced under the dash - I simply haven't bothered, really cheap fix. LOL Buy it and you can have all the rematches you want. Yep, Evo is going to be doing all competitive motorsport. Next outing are two hillclimbs in Albany over the long weekend 2-4 June.
