Hey dudes! Chasing a dyno in Perth, First preference being quality, almost equally - price Has anyone had any good experience/know anyone in the tuning business that can get some good work done cheaper than 180ish/hr? Cheers, Kyle
99% Sure stock, Although I havent checked since the previous owner, its a possibility its aftermarket, I will Check in the morning.
Price? Why do you want to run the car on the dyno? You should be looking for an outfit that has a very good reputation for performing high quality work & know what they are doing. Price, should be your last consideration, if you want the job done properly. It's a sure bet, the best in the business, is not going to be the cheapest. If your engine is in basically stock configuration, it probably won't be on the dyno for very long, providing no issues are encountered. To avoid issues on the dyno, make sure there are no problems with your car & everything is in top condition before you take it. If you don't, any problems will soon be identified & you will have to make the decision whether to take the car home & fix it yourself, or have it repaired at the dyno workshop, in any case the car will have to go back on the dyno once repaired, which could work out to be very expensive.
I dont think the car has ever been tuned in its life, it needs to be redone, it would also be nice to have a starting point for the car!
Just a tune and a rechip the first time, I would budget about $600-800. Retunes are cheaper after that. What places are you looking at getting it done?
Graham's right -there is no need to tune a stock car. If it is not running "right" then your problem is elsewhere
Recommendation: Garage101 Ask for Danny. Great tuner and knows his stuff. Make sure the car is running 100% fine before taking it in tho as he wont even put it on the rollers if it has issues.
The responses are based.... ....on the information you provided. Didn't you mention you were 99% certain the ECU was stock? As your car is modified in an unspecified manner & running a stock ECU. What amount of "tuning" do you expect to be done on the dyno?
Far out not sure what I have done to warrant that kind of attitude but you obviously have it all figured out. Good luck.
This has escalated nicely!!!!!!! OP was quite specific and clear with his original question. He wanted to know a reputable dyno tuner at a decent price in Perth. Whats with the rest of the crap about his mod list and so-on????? E
2nd danny, his tunes are solid, no problem with flogging your car in track conditions and his diagnostic knowledge is very good.
@Rob + @ East coast, That was a joke not a serious insult. Need more chill man. Thankyou tass!, I do understand text on a computer gets interpreted in many different ways to different people!
