Does any one know if the VQ35 crank will drop into a VG30 block? Can it be made to work? Can any one point me in the right direction here. I am up for a rebuild and thought about stoking it while its apart.

No idea but check if the main and big end bearings are the same?

    I would suggest very unlikely.

From memory the mains were bigger , rods smaller. , of vice versa , but it is definitely shorter in the snout , you. Would have to extend the front of it , from memory the spacing between cylinders looked very similar ( I did not measure )

    not even close

main bearing size and spacing is different, crank snout is different (chain cams, oilpump etc) , rear main seal is different

also the space in the block on the VG is quite tight.. biggest strokers were around 3250, (JUN for example)

there was a supposed 3.6L stroker, but that technically needed 5mm oversize pistons to make it up to 3.6L (Paeco)

Paeco kits are all based off reground stock cranks too. Yuck.

    VQ35 Crank stroke is 81.4mm
    VG30 Stroke is 83mm
Did you want to go backwards lol
VG33 has the same crank (83mm) but bigger bore 91.5mm if you want to go that way

Can you use the VG33 with 30dett heads?

    Nope.
Not even close. Not much of the old 2 cam VG stuff comes across to the 4 cam engine

You can swap cranks between VQ30 and VQ35 engines if that helps...
