umm adam and i dont speak anymore so he wont be there but i may have some jack stands of my own i can bring, im pretty sure i've got some in the garage

you have a dry solder joint.

 

i have this same problem and i just work around it with a ghetto, lazy person's method.

when you park the car in the sun on a 25deg+ day. leave the drivers window slightly open. don't put it all the way up. this does stuff all for temperature, still heats up badly inside BUT somehow keeps the power window working even if it heats up.

ok we need to quickly organise a list of equipment. Is anybody bringing a jack/jack stands, or do you already have one Ryan? I in theory can bring one but i'd prefer not to lug it the 100+ k's up to melb etc and stash it at my sis' lol. Anybody bringing a decent socket set? Spanners? Torque wrench? WD40 or similar?

 

I am bringing a 1/2" drive socket set, soldering iron and extension cord and some miscellaneous stuff like pliers and screw drivers and such. I have a pair of stands I can bring if people want them.

Ive booked the morning working on my own car, and will try to drop around after lunch some time.

 

ill have a solderer too, socket set, im trying to get a hold of some ramps but at this stage dont have stands. might be able to get a trolly jack if i can...also ill get a multipoint (6 point maybe) so we can have a few things running outside...also i dont have a torque rench...i think rom(chris) does...so the list i have soo far

extension cable
oilpan mabe (so i can change my oil)

i have a laptop...but not the program or the cable

ok well i entrust somebody to bring a jack if we need it. And some ramps would be ace cos as far as i know nobody really needs to take their wheels off so don't really need a jack i guess? I was going to install my whiteline link kit to go with my sway bars but i haven't been able to buys bolts yet so i'll hold that off til after the cruise.

ey mate there is a supercheap auto near my place so if you need any small bits let me know

 

just wondering if anyone was able to bring a jack...the ramps that i got is tall by a few millimeters....so could someone bring them along please...
