The group (comprising of RedZedMikey, WYKKED, red32, DSCM) meet outside the AFL Headquarters at the Telstra Dome, awaiting BigCol and the photographer.

BigCol arrives in his immaculately cleaned Z, with the photographer not far behind. We follow BigCol to the sheds on the North Wharf, where the photo shoot begins with the interior and engine bay of BigCol's Z. While this is happening the rest of the group go further down the Wharf for some personal shoots of their own Z's facing Melbourne's skyline.

We follow BigCol to Batman's Hill carpark, to have some external shoots in front of the Collins St bridge.

A short skip and jump to Fisherman's Bend, where on Wirraway Drive BigCol puts his Z through it's paces on a 90 degree turn to get some action shoots of the Z's handling.

I saw this in Motor, but kept forgetting to post here!

Its good to see someone from the forum got in there.

IMO, Motor is one of the best motoring magazines in Australia (along with Speed), usually of very high quality and one I buy regularly. Can't wait til next months issue! :)

Looks like it was a great day out too!

Was a good day, and an insight into how a photographer works. Got a couple of good places for individual or group shots in the future .

The Herald-Sun will report tomorrow that a new team is joining the AFL - the Melbourne Zedders!

First step was interior and engine bay shots. Col and Robert had work to do - hold this here, hold that there.

Col had to drive up and down Harbour Esplanade a few times to get some on road shots. Unfortunately the magazine photog was up the road about 100 meters, possibly trying to get his STI in the background. There was a far better background available :zlove: :zlove:.

I had hoped the photog would bring his own bikini babes, but it seems I had the wrong mag in mind. 'Twasn't a Fast Fours shoot, dammit. So Col volunteered to be the model on the day. Fitting, I suppose as he is the cars owner. Later, DSCM also volunteered, but the possibility of him in a G-string posing with the cars caused a mass and immediate exodus.

Col the model again. Had to get some TT action in the shoot. OK, so its Targa Top not Twin Turbo, but "hold it here please".

Col, your car is turning orange ... so sayeth the camera.

And last, but not least, I see red, I see red, I see re-ed (take 2). Is there any other colour?

DSCM make the infamous offer... no-one was interested
    [IMG]

You need to go flat-out for some shots
    [IMG]

One of these days, I'll learn how to shoot a moving target...

    Rob seemed a little aloof...

As Mikey said, an interesting day for angles and lighting.

    Congratulations Col......>>

Sorry we had to leave early and missed the rest of the shoot but the kids were demanding to be fed. I can't wait to see the article when it comes out, hopefully they will be a little less one sided then a few that have been in other publications lately.

Col i dont think i have every seen your car so clean before, looks bloody brand new:LOL:

Looking forward to reading the article.

    BigCol That's what she said...

    Yeah, sorry about that max!

But yes that is the cleanest my car has ever been, and it almost looks new again (except for all the stone chips on the front guards / bonnet etc). And so it should - it took nearly 3 days to clean.

    That's the RZM machine >>>

thanks for the compliments. It's not so nice up close (don't look at the interior!), and the rear body is a bit iffy - 3 shades of red. By 2007 when I might have finished the mods (!!!) it should be looking really sweet.

Current project is complete revamp of suspension, plus a few little bits of bling here and there.
Next year: Wheels and tyres, interior, more bling.
2006: Full respray, Stillen rear bar, Kaminari wing, more bling.
2007: Turbo's, injectors and IC's - if they've lasted till then. More bling.

Ahhhhh, who am I kidding, it'll never be finished!

    No one ever gets finished!

Wasn't it Budda that said "its not the destination, but the journey that counts "! (don't quote me). I love the bonnet, front spoiler and are they Simmons wheels on the front!? You'll have a great looking car when you've finished.
