Looking for a set of head studs for both zeds I have at the moment and the ARP 202-4308 is about the only one I can find but its not cheap (anywhere from $265 plus freight from CZP to $500+ with ebay sellers).

I have mates who have bought chinese alternatives for LS and JZ motors from various sources and I've personally used engineer 12.9 grade bolts for BMW stuff, is there such a thing for the old VG nugget?

Whichever way you go, be aware for big power, you should use the larger diameter washers.

    Is this for 500 build?

My OEM ones seem OK at 440 and 18psi.

Yeah, was going to grab a set for both engines if they were cheap enough but thinking at this stage probably a waste on a slightly hot stocker.

Which washers are you talking about Mike? I wasn't aware there was a difference in washers with the ARP or any other kit.

The ARP washers are small and will bite into the heads when you torque them up. Best thing is to stack them on top of the oem Nissan washers.

    As rob said

My engine had this done as just before one of the US pages listed issues with washers biting into the head

EP racing at the time showed me a few pictures of the indentation differences from various engines he pulled apart.

Likely won't pose an issue unless your running high boost (like 22+) and a lot of power
