For those who have approx $2k spare and want scissor action doors, there is a place in Melbourne that will do this to your Z: Cybercentury Car Accessories - Vertical Doors Like it? Love it? Hate it? Your thoughts?
seems like a lot of wank if you ask me..... kinda cool the first time i saw it done.... but a waste of time IMO ::Risk::
this is the BIG thing in the UK at the mo' Was over there last month and picked up Max Power for the plane, every other page there was an ad for, or car featured with, a 'lambo' door kit ! I think it would be quite cool for a while, certainly attract attention ! but after the novelty had worn off it'd just be a pain... Plus as others has said there are plently of better ways to spend $2K ! Matt.
ouch that hurts! haha i thought about it.... but the extra weight might slow me down too much - i wanna beat you into 12's ::Risk::
I like it. These would be great for anyone that has a narrow carport or garage. My garage is large enough for a small car, but when I park the Z in it I have to squeeze out between the door and the car body (and thats not easy in a lowered Z. Always worried about chipping the paint on the doors. This would also be good in many car parks!
Until I see an.. ADR approval (and a spare $2000 in the piggy ) I wouldn't even consider it. Cheers Rob
ADR Approval... Bah!!Would you defect a Lamborghini??(granted those doors come as standard on Lambos but like anyone would cut open the door to see if it has side intrusion bars...! Either it'll be Owner Approved Modification or get an Engineer's Certificate! Which you would get from them after they'd install it?!!! IMO!
