    Hi Guys,

I'm looking in to making some vented fibreglass front guards, I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing them. I'm still working on sourcing a set of guards to take molds from, but drop me a line if you'd be interested.

Any ideas, please PM me - pics in this thread would be great. I was thinking of something like the VE HSV R8 type, but I'm open to suggestion.

    Cheers,
    Pete

I have a set in my shed :p Can't have them though... All for me!

I believe that carmate sells them. See here!

About $500. Mine are a little thin though, would prefer thicker FG. :(

    Same as everyone else

it would depend on the price. VE style would be good. Those Border ripoffs that Crapmate sells are so/so...I would prefer them without the vents above the arch.

    Cheers

    Estimate Prices

A good guide at the moment is $400 (may be closer to $300)
I can't give an accurate price till the first set is made
These will have 2-3 ply of glass mat(3-4mm)
I am also looking at vaccumm Bagging these for added strength (also to keep the weight down)

    Cheers
    Pete

Hah, I'm not looking at the vents on the top, only doing vents at the rear of the wheel arch - I want something tough looking, but understated - to each their own.

    Sounds interesting

Got any pics of what exactly you intend to get made up?

    Something like this

    Clicky
Maybe just a tad bigger with the vent
I have wanted to make a set of vented guards for quite some time

    Nice

similair to the border ones but without the vents along the top of the wheel arch. I like it, would in theory help with brake cooling if setup right as well.

    It should

Definatly help with cooling the brakes
Also i think a similar indicator setup like This would look smart too
I already have a similar set on my guards ATM

those ones look good. would maybe look more stock if the vent followed the curve of the wheel arch at the front, instead of being a square cut out??

Sound pretty good to me an i would prob take a set

Hmmm i think that would look good

having the vent follow the lines of the wheel arch
i.e. bigger at the top smaller at the bottom

It would almost look stock Hmmmm nice

I am terrible at using photoshop
It's very close to what i want maybe just a tad smaller and to follow the contour of the wheel arch
