    Yeah

But these days you can piss off some little dicks just by driving a nice car.
I say if you find em take em out the road somewhere and do the same to them, see how they like being smashed with a tree stump.
    End rant

If you don't already have one, get a sensor light installed out the front of your house. Cheaps ones cost around 30 dollars? You can adjust how sensitive they are and under what lighting conditions they turn on.

Sorry to hear about the car mate. My mate once heard the door of his car open around 3am. He goes outside to see some guy ran sacking his car (wife forgot to lock it). He only had his boxer shorts on (no shoes, no shirt, etc) and he bolted after this guy yelling all sorts of scenarios that would happen once he caught him.. unfortunately with no shoes on he couldn't keep the chase up for long enough and he got away.

sensor light is a good idea. Better investing in a good 1. Recommend HOUSEWATCH brand. 2x100W sealed halogen beams, (tamper proof, near impossible to smash, and heat caused by lamps make them impossible to remove once illuminated) complete metal casing. Sensor is guaranteed for a minimum of 12m. Some sense just 12m, some 20m. Looking at about $60 from an electrical wholesaler (cant buy them at Bunnings).

    Hey Wil,

Thats just bloody horrible, I don't know where they get their kicks from damaging someone else's pride and joy or even just property for that matter....the little pricks deserve every thing karma can throw at them :mad:

Good luck repairing her and finding some security solution (how about paid friends hiding in bushes with some 2x4s :p)

    Cheers!

Put a card on top of the dash with this message printed in large letters:

    "Smile! You're on CCTV"

You could then fit a camera to your house, wired to start recording when the sensor light goes on. Your local sparky could rig that up pretty easily.

...or maybe the card by itself will be enough.

yep, two or three sensor lights rigged up with the sensor near the front of the driveway....lights turn on and so does the camera.

put on in the garden down low so when it turns on it scares the shit out of the pricks.

good luck with the repairs mate.

    Shit yeah..

A lot of places will charge you around 230-290..

    Was quoted 330 by O'Brien

I got mine done at $150 near trade.. so it's very reasonable

    Likewise...

I got a quote from Obrien for 265 and he was going to pop it in the morning then come back at the end of the day so I could do a cheat job repair on my slightly lifting dash.
