I stepped on the remote today and it has shattered. I made it to the shops and they said they don't make replacement ones like that any more and that I will need a new alarm system. At this stage I can't even start my car. I really need it for tonight so I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to disable the immobilizer or just pull it out. I don't know what the brand is or anything..
i did the exact same thing bt my car was stuck at work, so i called RAC roadside and he just yanked out the box and connected two of the wires and bang there u go. looked so easy make u think if an immobiliser is really worth it lol just go to ur local ghetto and hire a gangsta
Can i recommend that if anyone DOES know a way round this, they PM the original poster. Rather than putting "how to steal a car" info on a publicly accessible forum.
I'm in Beaumaris (south east, 25 min from St Kilda). If you came down that would be great and I would happily pay petrol money. I read a PM that was sent to me but I'm an aboslute n00b with cars and still can't work out what to do Thanks to everyone for their help so far though I really appreciate it. aazn if you could PM me your number then I will call you asap.
Okay, aazn is coming down soon Hopefully he'll be able to help me. This forum is awesome. I love how helpful the zed community is. Makes me proud to drive one :zlove: Will let you all know how it goes.
Ugame- The info on the net out there, and any car thief with half a clue will know that immobalisers are usually installed in a way very easy and obvious to bypass. Posting up on here wouldn't have made a difference. Just bypassing the immobaliser doesn't negate the need for the key
I have to agree here... This forum and its members are second to none for tech help and general friendliness... Seems the Z attracts good people
Pirated movies and porn are all over the net too. But we don't post them here. Sorry, I just thought it was a sensible move to keep the info quiet. Just trying to be a good Zed citizen :zlove:
Did your alarm incorporate Keyless Entry with the Central Locking? With any luck, they are stand-alone units, controlled via the main alarm unit, meaning you will be able to simply replace the alarm/immobiliser unit itself, without having to remove door trims etc to get your keyless entry working again. Hopefully, having seen it, Anton will be able to advise if this is an option.
if you have broken you remote like JD did.. and you wanted a cheap fix.. you could buy the same alarm and plug and play... but JD is not as lucky, the wiring comes out of the unit (not plugs) and is all black wiring...so replacing unit is out of question.. all the wiring is in there anyway.. to replace the alarm (upgrading/downgrading) would be a fairly quick option anyway... and yes they are seperate units...
