I'm looking at purchasing adjustable control arms for the front and rear but I'm not sure about a few things.

    Questions:
    1. Do the rear adjustable ctrl arms need to be complemented with adjustable rear toe control arms to function correctly?

    2. Do they affect HICAS in any way. (Does it need to be disabled for them to function?

    3. Are the ctrl arms constantly offered on ebay to be avoided at all costs. Does anyone use them without any problems for eg. Click here
These look well put together to me.

    4. Whats the deal with the front adjustable camber kits? does the tie rod need to be the solid type? I have polyurethane tie rod ends to avoid harshness.

The situation has always been that the LHS front and rear camber are within specification @ approx. -1.35º but on the driver's side they are both approx. -2.35º
Been told this is great for drifting but not so good on the RHS tyres.

Personally, I would rather replace whatever is damaged with OEM parts.

    Is this common? any ideas?
    Too many questions...

    Thanks
    Peter

#1 the front and rear upper camber arms do not need any other control arm/rod/whatever to work correctly as they only determin the camber of the wheel.

    #2 as above

#3 some cheaper makes/copies of upper camber arms tend to bend, have dodgy welding or break easly, so I'd say yes avoid at all costs. also another thing with ebay is that you could put a picture of a dog up and be selling a cat. you really don't know what you are going to get.

    #4 see answer #1

you could go with oem upper arms if the upper arms on that one side are damaged

we actually have a group buy going for upper arms at the moment. Linky

Just regarding point 3, remember your control arms are an essential mechanism in holding your car off the ground. Go for quality there are plenty of good ones out there and most forum members can offer opinions on specific brands.

Check out the Group Buy that Hypa's running, the front and rears he's offering are top notch.

Thanks guys, this certainly clears up things. I'll look at the group buy...

but I feel these camber bits must be under so much stress especially when cornering. I hate to think what will happen if one fails.
