Un-modified throttle cable cover to suit Carbing strut?

    Hi guys,

I've got a Carbing front strut bar and I'm considering fitting a throttle cable cover beneath it. I understand that a factory cover requires plenty of modification to fit, but I'd like either a C/F or stainless option that doesn't require any modification at all.

I thought that the Smithy's Place S/S cover would fit, but it seems it doesn't clear the bar.

    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

Nah, the workmanship on the Carbing is just too damn nice to ignore

I'll need to contact Powertrix as I can't make any sense of the photos provided for the Carbon fiber throttle cable cover modified. At the angle the shot was taken for the thumbnail pic, they may have simply done a professional 'sandeep mod', and not alter the dimensions of the cover at all to suit. Also, the enlarged view of the modified cover points to the unmodified cover.

Thanks, though :) Didn't think of Powertrix at all.

    wow...really?

in relation to the topic. i've got the carbing copy strut brace and I just didtched the throttle cover. you can't really fit them anyway if you've done the pcv bypass.

shouldn't have linked to my photobucket account simon... :p
i'll edit it back later ;)

Joe you could also space out the strut brace using plates between the brace and the body... Wykked has done this and he still runs the throttle cable cover. depends how much thread you have left on the studs coming out of the strut mounts though, with standard suspension the studs aren't long enough so there's not enough thread for the nuts to grab.. I think with wykked's coilovers the studs are long enough to give enough thread for the nuts to grab even with the spacing plate.

What's a good brand to get for these then Simmo (for use with a stock throttle cover)? I may be getting one soon if I can warrant the purchase come payday :)
