Not sure if I'm a fan, but I will reserve judgement until I see it painted and fitted :)

I like the front -not sure about the rear vents. All of their gear seems to work well in terms of an overall "concept". I reckon this will look awesome on their red demo car.

    This.

If it's made from their FRP it won't be legal here anyway, if memory serves.

I thought it more had to do with the lack of bracing (or factory bracing) under the shell of the bonnet as opposed to the shell material.

In NSW the legislation explicitly states that composite fibre materials are ok for non intrusion panels, including bonnets. I have linked to the relevant documents in previous posts -you'd need to search for them but they're there.

The ADRs are a national framework, but in some areas are very general in nature, or just don't exist. You won't find anything about bonnets for example. Interpretation and implementation of ADRs is generally via road/vehicle safety laws at state government level, which is where you need to look for your answer.

Thanks man -as an aside it really is a drag that a) there is no central reference point at an enthusiast level and b) the laws aren't dealt with at a national level. It really would simplify things for an enthusiast... This is the kinda stuff motoring "activists" should be advocating in parliament, not dumb shit like online petitions to raise speed limits or reduce speed cameras...

I can't remember exact wording -you'll need to follow Logan's link and have a read. It's all there.

Are there clearance issues with a stock bonnet?

With my setup there is... rubs slightly.

Can be fixed but will need to get someone on a lathe to make some bits so the rails can be situated lower.

Can't be assed at the moment, sick of not driving the car to be honest.
