The passenger one can be taken out. i have done this twice now. The drivers side is another story.

I got my info to take it out from AndyMac this is the info he gave me.

"I assume you've removed all the associated intake piping, coolant lines, dump pipe and oil lines. Battery removed and basically everything from the area which is going to hinder your access to the manifold bolts. You don't want to remove the turbo from the manifold, you want to remove the manifold from the heads and drop the lot out the bottom.

Disconnect the lower steering joint and unbolt and remove the front pipes of the exhaust that run back to the center muffler to give you room to remove the turbo and manifold.

Unbolt the exhaust manifold from the head and pull the turbo out from underneath with the exhaust manifold attached.

Drivers side I won't go into as you need to drop the subframe and rack and lower the motor a few inches and remove basically everything from the bottom of that side of the car."

I didnt remove the lower steering joint to take mine out but it may make it easier to do so.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I have done this

I did this s a while back when I changed my clutch. So i had the gearbox out which made it a lot easier. Some bolts were still ver hard to get to but it was possible. Note I removed the turbo only not the manifold. I didnt however lower the crossmember which it pretty simple and I think woul have made it much easier. I think you need to remove your brake booster also.

Enjoy. Took about 10 hrs all up.

    Cheers
