Hey Guys, these prices are based on Group Buy quantities, and are not offered for a lower price then what Drift Spec is selling them for.

I would be interested but these are also available from Z1, approx $100 cheaper today, without a GB. Any idea what sort of GB discounts you will be able to get from Z1 on their stuff

We have a lot of time for the Z1 organization generally, and their product range, except for the Turbo Kits. The reason we are doing the Turbo Kit GB with ConceptZ is that Coz has reported to us that over the past few months, he has had numerous problems with the build quality of the Z1 turbo kits, and has had to replace several parts for a larger than acceptable number of his customers, to the extent he had enough, and no longer gets his kits from Z1, and has decided to build his own kits which he is in total control of the quality. We prefer not to deal with the Z1 Turbo Kits at this time because of this information from Coz.

 

interesting ,the u.s is the biggest market for z1 parts and i see no bad feedback

What parts have been replaced drift spec? nothing wrong with my z1 2560 kit brought from coz, the struggle continues between z1 and coz, the word slander springs to mind.

 

seconded. coz always says that whatever he doesn't sell isn't good, just like with the rads he doesn't sell (et al). and there's obviously been some 'issues' with him (a la 300 degree and Z1), so go figure. :W:

AMS has installed tons of Z1 kits (i've seen them) and i've heard of no issues with them at all. in fact, versus JWT and others, you seem to get more bang for the buck for sure with the Z1 units. if anyone wants good pricing on the Z1 turbo kits, i suggest contacting AMS, who can get you really good deals on them.

Just so you know Mark. Those turbo's are up around the $4500+ mark non-GB price. So quite a big price difference.

 

i like the hks turbos as they fit without changing anything and seem to make higher output numbers, i know there alot more expensive but with the aussie dollar creeping up again might be a good time to buy. could i get a price thanks.

 

I thought the z1 type turbos were already modified, hence the more $$ over generic Garrett ones.

 

Correct. All the Coz/Z1/HKS turbo kit's mentioned above are bolt on.
Though the so called bolt-on application can sometimes be influenced by what type of manifold you are using, hense you do hear the odd story of people grinding and modifying.

We have checked with a few Major uses of the Z1 kits and have not found any other reports of there being issues with the Kits. So it does appear that the issues Coz came across were isolated. This has also been a contributing factor in our decision to offer the Z1 kits in the GB.

NOTE - #2 ? included in the exchange rate based quote of AUD, is the amount deducted by the Banks for (1) the international transaction fee, and (2) the commission they take on calculating the exchange rate. Which means for example that if 1 USD = 0.87 AUD, the net rate after fees is more like 0.855 ???.
