Hey Everyone. I have a 91 N/A 300zx Z32 Manual 170*** kms on it (Which i love very much ). I have had the car about 6 mths and recently when i start it (cold start) It coughs for a while, thinks about starting then goes for it. It takes about 5-10 seconds keeping the key turned over for it to start. Im thinkin maybe something with the fuel injectors because ive heard early model 300zxs have bad injectors which nissan later fixed up and a mate of mine reckons could be spark plugs or maybe even fuel filter. Im looking for help from a 300zx owners point of view as they would most likely know wat the problem could be. Any help would be appreciated. Even if your not sure what it could be, can u please tell me someone who mite know. Thanks heaps everyone
Check the coolant temp sensor connector and pins, make sure they are nice and clean. Unlikely to be sparkplugs or fuel filter. Speaking from experience, do a compression test.
