Have you test driven one yet, nice but a 1.8 really doesnt appeal to me, actually what am i saying neither does the car, lol
they dont appeal to me either but If the guy is looking for reliability with (semi) sporty good looks,then I give him the thumbs up...
everyone has their own taste and reason from changing from a fuel lover TT to an economic new celica... so dont waste your posts trying to flame the guy down. good luck with the trade mate!
why dont you just sell your zed for 17k and buy a old banger celica. i talked 2 you ages ago about this. from memory you wanted something that didnt use so much fuel... DUDE i get around 500kms if not more from my TTzed and im pushing over 222kws... celicas suck donkey b*lls, test drive one dude i dare you... if you get a celica i doubt if youd get more kms per tank.... Fact of the matter celicas suck.. suck ... suck... but then again you do have lenso spinners
are you serious simmo? a TT zed: 3L V6 - 1.5 tonne - premium fuel 72L tank - 500km a celica: 1.8L straight 4 - 1 tonne - unleaded ~60L tank - 500km+++ if not more and i bet a new celica will save thousands per year on repair costs and insurance as well if the goal is to save money
lol, i cant sell my car for 17000$ the best price i can get for my car would be 13000$ maybe 14K i mean not many people wants to buy a customized car, everybody wants cheap car. thats why i dont want to sell, only rade it. i'll already tried a celica, of course i much slower (only 190HP for the celica, compare to 300HP for the 300ZX) but its also front wheel drive instead of rear wheel drive, but i dont mind for this. i want to trade cause insurance is very expensive for someone underage like me (22yo) and i'm working only at part time, cause i'm still at uni + i've to pay the rent every weeks ... so celica are cheaper for insurance and petrol. i love the look of the celica. looking forward to put the VeilSide bodykit on it too. but if i cant find anyone to trade, i'll keep my Z.
the costs only get astronomical when you need labour if you fit your own kits, pull your own engine and do your own painting... it's not all that bad.... but those of us without such skills.... spend heaps
i dont have those skills too ... paint job is very hard and bodykit fitting as well, moreover i dont have many tools (didnt have enough time to buy everything , im in australia since 10 months) so for expensive things, i did it by profesional, but things like leather seat, trim kit, blow off, tail light, i did it by myself or helped by other 300zx owner (namely byron ) the garage changed the master cylinder last week, they had have to remove all the engine because it was too narrow. took them 3 days to fix it (20H labor) gosh
I'm going to attempt to change a parker light tomorrow. Thats the extent of my confidence/skills. Now from a bone stock NA to where my car has just gone (several times on a few things and replacing with better things), imagine THAT labour.

well if you cant sell it For 17k and only expect to get 13,why would anyone trade you a car thats currently going for over 20k? The cheapest I seen was on carsales at 17k Maybe theyll trade u a 6TH gen celica? Cant always get what you want pal...welcome to the real world.
its fine man. i trade even for better a R34 instead of a celica ... u always find what u want in the real world.
Surely Max, You must have spent a bit more on maintenance than 4 tyres, brakes and clutch cylinders. There seems to be MANY thousands of dollars on bling, but just a few hundred on maintenance. How was it serviced ? Timing belt ? Things that really count. What's thge engine like ?
