VIC TRACK DAY - WINTON SHORT TRACK - SUNDAY DECEMBER 21st

Christmas is fast approaching us, so at Tampered Motorsport we decided to have a get together to celebrate. The Tampered Motorsport Christmas Track day will be on the short track at Winton, which will be a new experience for a lot of people. It is a whole lot of fun, and it probably suits the lower horsepowered cars. Personally I can't wait, it has been a really long time since we have used the short track.

Entry Fee: $160 which includes Timing costs AND lunch at the Christmas BBQ for 1 person.

ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS LUNCH IT IS $10 PER PERSON AND MUST BE PRE-BOOKED

Spectators are more than welcome, and there is no cost to come and watch. Also you can go for a ride in the cars but you must sign on with a Passenger indemnity first. Due to the amount of passengers at previous events our insurer has put a small levy on passengers of $10. You can just pay this when you sign the forms at the Scruitineering office.

The day will kick off when scruitineering starts at 7:30am. You will need to do your paper work at the scruitineering office before you have your car checked. Please make sure you have removed all loose items from inside the car.

At this stage the day will be limited to 60 places, with 5 groups of 12 cars and entries are accepted in order of receipt. We may extend this to accomodate the interest.

YOU WILL NEED:
Long sleeve and long pants of non flammable materials i.e. No Nylon
AASA license which can be bought on the day for $50 (these last for 12 months) or CAMS L2S
Closed footwear
Helmet that complies to Australian Standards (has ASA or Snell Sticker)
Car needs to be in a good condition, no oil leaks, no loose items in the car and battery secure.
Good condition tyres
Working seatbelt (give it a pull and make sure it locks)
All people wishing to attend need to make payment to the specified bank account. When you send your email with your details you will be sent an entry form as well as payment details. You will need to email the following details

I had a fantastic day last week Adam. I was so glad I got Ross to show me the lines etc etc.

Thanks for putting it on.

I wont be able to make this date but will come again next year for sure.

One quick comment. It would have helped me heaps if on the timing sheet you could put whether the cars had Rcomps, slicks or road tyres.

I was a bit dissapointed with my times. Then I went around and had a look at the top 15 cars and they all had Rcomps not road tyres.

Made me feel a bit better about the times posted.

I am giving this some serious thought, I have missed too many track days recently.

An Evade, an 800kg car with 300RWkw against a TTZ 1700kg car with approx 240 RWkw. You where only a second faster !!!! AND you had RComps, I had street tyres.

Hang your head in shame Diesel Dave !!!

 

We will see how close I can get to him in my NA, then he can be ashamed good and proper.

 

Will be there, but only as support for the Zeds.

NOPE!!!

 

OK, ran into someone from NSW with a red Zed there.

Hopefully I will as long as I can make it up for this event, it's looking probable at the moment.

 

Well what would you expect.
Red is the most attractive colour that Zeds come in....lol.
There are lots of red Zeds in NSW, so it could have been anyone of them.

Pretty much all set to go, anyone else interested in coming along? Would be good to have a few Zeds there driving but if you don't feel like driving Winton is a great track for spectating and photography.

Might not be running, but will be there in support of all things ZED.
