Driver Dynamics does days at Sandown, so I don't want to invade his territory and Phillip Island and Calder are too much to hire!!
How much is too much? How much would it make the price of a day there for it to be worth your while? Is it worth looking at doing it one a year or so as a special event that people hopefully won't mind paying extra for or is it just way too much to consider?
i was reading on SAU about calder, they had to cancel all the Calder sprint days because event hire +insurance etc came to around $19,000. Average attendance figure is 50-60 cars which takes it above $300 per entrant. Maximum number of cars allowed by supp regs is 90 or something which is still over $200 per entrant and with that many cars you won't get as much time so not worth it. not sure about philip island though... there is a PIARC day in November that i want to go to. It's a 2 day event, saturday is the practice day and sunday is the sprints. good price too, $140 for the sprint day, not sure about how much it would cost to do the practice on saturday. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sau-vic-Motorsport-Champi-t231894.html
