Why are there so many different TPS Sensors.
Is due to the different ECU's reading them?

Would it matter if I used a 90 -93TT or 94-95TT TPS sensor with an aftermarket ECU like Haltech?

They plug in the same, but for some reason the metal mounting brackets on them differ slightly.

I doubt it, as the HALTECH is adjustable for the extents. So it wouldn't matter which one you used. Just don't change to a different type afterwards.

Any decent after market ECU will have a TPS calibration tool in it.

You can remove what ever TPS you were using and fit another as long as it is of similar type (the the same but similar as in it operates in a similar way) then calibrate it when fitted to the car & your tune will remain 100% operational and safe.

(another advantage of after market ECU over OEM reflashed etc)

BTW make sure the TB can open up all the way to 90 degrees before hand. Some don't and have to have the stops modded slightly.
