QLD Top Gear Sprints Qld Raceway Sat 16th August 2008

Hoping the car will be back to her old reliable self after re-instating the ABS and will be able to see what difference the 4.3 ratio diff mod has made.

Also have a set of newer and stickier rear Porsche cup tyres to try out.

Racing starts from 12:30pm, entry is free.

 

I'll rock up for the fun of it.

While I'm at it one question. Is there any way to drive or walk the track before I go out?

 

hey Max, feel free to come along and ask questions. You wont be able to drive or walk the track, but dont worry you will pick it up quickly when it is your turn, it will be much easier than you think.

 

I was going to say something silly about being good a gran turimo but I won't Slightly unrelated what oils do you service zeds with?

Hey dude,

QR has to be one of the easiest tracks to learn. You get a warm-up lap before your timed runs and then one run-down lap. You shouldn't have any trouble unless you happen to be driving a Z31 without ABS like I was

Anticipate that you are going to spin out or come off the track at least once. The good thing about QR is that 99% of the corners are safe, so if you come off the track you'll be fine. Just try not to loose grip on the final turn before the straight.

I'm sure Pete can answer any questions you have, he knows that track like the back of his hand.
