    Hey y'all,

Tony needs a new clutch (and no it's not from street racing!)

I am looking for a new clutch and have had a varied response.

I have found these to on the USA website

"UAS SPORTS CLUTCH KIT FOR NISSAN 300ZX

FEATURES MODIFIED PIVOT POINT AND DIAPHRAM TO INCREASE CLAMPING PRESSURE BY 40%. ANTI-BURST CASTING (NODULAR IRON), 6 FINGER CENTERED BRONZE CERAMETALLIC CLUTCH PLATE PROVIDES EXCELLENT GRIP. SUITABLE FOR ROAD AND RACE

    PRICE: $595.00 EXCHANGE

    PRICE: $750.00 OUTRIGHT

UAS FULL FACE CLUTCH KIT FOR NISSAN 300ZX

ORGANIC SPORTS CLUTCH FEATURING 30% INCREASED CLAMP LOAD AND MADE WITH STEEL BACKING FOR STRENGHENED CLUTCH PLATE

    PRICE: $450.00 EXCHANGE

    PRICE: $595.00 OUTRIGHT"

Also been quoted $650 for an exady heavy duty clutch,

Anyone had any experience with any of the clutch listed, can any really comment if the extra 10% grip is worth the extra $145 with the two USA clutches?

Any suggestions on other brands? (At around to 500-700 mark I would love to tray a g max 2, but cannot afford it)

I am planning to get this done by a mechanic, only because I have not changed a clutch in one of these things before and I have been told it is a b#tch.

But if anyone in Melb. with a spare Sat or Sun and allot of patients want to help me out and show me how to do it, I should have all the tools need, (except a hoist) I would prefer to do all the monkey work myself, but someone with the know how saying pull here push that, would make me allot more comfortable! (oh yeah, will to pay for this assistance too, not looking for a handout)

    Thanks in advance

    Tony

I just recently got the organic full-face from UAS.

And unless you're making a bunch more power than stock that one is fine. Works a treat for me! Good value too I reckon with the trade-in.

    Benny_C About as subtle as...

Does anyone know the difference between these two clutches?

i'm mainly interested in HP ratings...

    FROM UAS:

    Not being an expert but...

The more expensive one is a six-button clutch, holds more power but a less 'driveable' for street. Apparently they can be a bit of a pain in the left leg and the take up is harsher, they tend to shift less smoothly as I understand it. Whereas the full-face job is just like the stock clutch, with a bit more clamp load, so can take a bit more power than stock and is still quite smooth on the changes.

As for HP figures? Dunno.. John would probably be the man to ask...

me needs a new clutch too.. can anyone say group buy?

what about the cushion button clutch?

i was thinking more along the lines of

    COZ 6-puck or
    Coz Heavy duty

and seeing as the flywheel will need machining, take the opportunity for an upgrade
    aluminium flywheel

    Group Buy

For those ones, it would have to be an awesome deal, I'd be looking at the organic as my car is an every day driver, which is listed as USD$515, which at the moment is close to AUD$700 plus freight is getting a bit rich for my blood,

Although I did just get a call about my 260z (I'm trying to sell it $3000, needs respray and breaks done) so I might be able to afford it.
