To those who have fitted a 2000 spec front bar

I've purchased a second hand 2000 spec front bar and indicators, and the indicator connectors are quite different between the 1990s version and the 2000 spec version. The 1990 spec car wiring loom has a small two pin connector which plugs into a short fly lead on the 1990 spec indicator globe holder. This short lead is hard wired to the indicator globe holder assembly. The 1990 globe holder is a three prong holder which does not fit into the 2000 spec indicator lens assembly. The 2000 setup has a four prong globe holder with a socket on the rear, and no fly lead.

I've got the 2000 spec indicator lens and globe holder assembly, but the 1990 spec car wiring loom connecor is a small oval connector, and the 2000 spec indicator uses a larger oval shaped connector which plugs directly into the back of the globe holder. Before I modify or cut anything up, is there an adaptor loom which I don't have? If not, what have others done who have fitted a 2000 spec bumper to their 1990 spec car?

I think Coz or Z1 sell a wiring adapter. But it's just easier to cut your existing indicator wiring and solder directly onto the 99 spec indicator bulb holder. That's what I did with mine.

i used the bulb holder that came with the 2k indicator. then just widen the plastic on the loom plug where the terminals from the bulb holder slide in since the spades are slightly wider on the new bulb holder.

Went on a search at the local wreckers. The 1995 Nissan Maxima side indicator has exactly the same connector as the Z32 2000 spec indicator lights. If you cut the Maxima connectors off, and also your 1990 loom connectors and splice them, then you'll have a conversion cable using all Nissan plugs and connectors.
