    Hi Guys,

I've finally got around to fitting a set of KYB shocks and Eibach springs that have been sitting in my office for 12 - 18 months :) but have a problem/question.

The kit I have is the 6320. It has 2 springs marked 6320.001 and 187874, and the other 2 are 6320.002 and 190581.

Does anyone know which springs are for the front and which are the rears?

Also, my car is a 2+2 TT. Tonight while looking for part numbers I noticed that Eibach list the NA, 2+2 and Convertible as kit 6319 and the TT as 6320 (the one I have). Does anyone know if the 6319 is only for NA 2+2 or both NA and TT 2+2's, in which case I have the wrong kit?

    Thanks.

    Cheers

Mark, i have them on your old car. (good bit of kit BTW, I love em)

You cant get the fronts and rears mixed up. They only fit on one end or the other.

Not sure about P/N's. Mine came from Coz and i didnt check.

for the springs just put them on the shocks, the rear springs from memory have smaller inner diameter and dont fit the fronts.

i also notices that they have different part numbers, maybe slightly different spring rates, they will fit either way though.

I only have one shock off.

Thanks guys. I only have one shock off the car at the moment, so couldn't compare the front with rear.

I'm a little hesitant to remove any others at the moment, as I suspect I have a problem with my current front right and may have to fit it back on (it's not taken apart yet) while I order new tops. Not to mention the fact that I forgot to order new paper gaskets...doh! Although I did notice that whoever fitted the current Tein springs also didn't fit any gaskets.

I guess I might have to just bite the bullet and do them all tonight anyway and hope the front right top plate isn't damaged...

    Cheers

you dont need the gaskets, i am willing to get 95% of people here with aftermarket suspension dont have them on and noones suspension has fallen out yet

forget the gaskets, They make NO difference.

I do however wish i had sprung for the new dust boot and rubber kit. Mine was sort of OK, But many of the others I have fitted have been rubbish.

i would recommend replacing the dust boot and other rubber parts if possible.

i got the gasket and boot kit. Couple of hundred bucks from coz but well worth it. Can't remember which but you need to re-use the hats from either the fronts or rears if you get the kit as new plates aren't supplied.
Are you doing it all yourself? Do you have a set of spring compressors or mighty mighty man arms (btw as i've stated before no amount of man arms will compress the springs :p )
took me the lesser part of 2 days to do my springs/shocks with no prior experience, and several hours of that spent trying to get the rear right lower shock bolt undone. If you need any tips on anything shoot me a pm

    Thanks guys. Wasn't thinking straight.

If I had just bothered to take the springs out and sit them on the shocks I would have known which was front and back. Instead I sat here for an hour searching the net for an answer with the shocks/springs sitting right next to me.

I'll blame it on brain fade after just spending 3 1/2 hours trying to get the bonnet open  The cable came off the latch for a second time. Much worse this time as I have fitted an air guide that goes from one side of the car to the other. It's held in place by the radiator support brackets and pop riveted on each end.....not fun trying to get the bolts undone and drilling the rivets when you can't open the bonnet. Wasn't in a good mood after that.

I've got Tein top mounts and it looks like a part off the drivers side is damaged and will need to be replaced, so there goes finishing it tonight/morning anyway. I guess I'll take the advice and order replacement parts for all the rubber items on Monday.

I've got Tein boots on mine and they seem to be fine (guessing not that old).

Yep got 2 sets of compressors ZedEx. Believe it or not, despite my dumb questions before I've done full shock/spring/sway bar changes before (as well as fitting 1 3/4 energy suspension kits :) Tektrader got the car with 3/4 done...was just too lazy to do the rear sub frame and diff mounts :). I'm just over tired tonight and not thinking straight. Might be time to pack it in and go bed I think.

Thanks for all your help tonight guys.

    Cheers

The way I read the Eibach part numbering is that they separate the TT from all of the others whether it be 2+2 NA, slicktop NA, 2+0 NA or Vert. If it's a TT regardless if it's 2+0 or 2+2 or Slicktop, than that's what you want. I'm not 100% on this and I'm not sure if this is all based on the HICAS thing or not. At first when I got mine I too was scratching my head on which to go by. I made a big guess here and went with the non turbo one guessing at the time that it was American driven and therefore TT's were only on the 2+0 in their mind and I selected the non turbo springs. To this dat I still don't know if I made the right choice. I do know that with the AGX's set on 1 at front and 2 on the rear that I still have a fairly stiff ride. Here's something else I found. Hope it helps.
